My first week I picked up a lot of staples (dried beans, coffee, vinegar, hand soap, stevia) but still totaled 103.62 for two weeks worth of groceries! That's $51.81 per week including staples and many organic/gluten free products.
Here are some of my favorite and least favorite products thus far:
Gluten free tortilla wraps
They're crunchy, hold together fairly well and taste amazing
Vegetable chips
These + hummus = perfection
Love crunch granola
Coconut, chocolate granola. Oh my goodness I'm in heaven. Seriously the best stuff I've ever eaten and it's organic.i like mine with milk.
Mini cucumbers
Sweet, crisp and don't have the gross bitter pesticide taste that they usually have. I also love that they're green house grown!
Organic spinach
Definitely High quality!
Boca chikn patties
I already typically buy these and they were half the price of other grocery stores! The only bummer was that I went back two weeks later and they were no longer available
Dark chocolate
Ridiculously great chocolate made from Austria. I'd probably eat more of it if they didn't put milk in it :)
Non gluten free products
My roommate who eats gluten loves their bagels and eye bread! She said the bagels are the best she's ever had
Least liked items:
Bell peppers
Bad batch...need I say more? The next week I bought the sweet mini peppers and they were perfection!
Gluten free spaghetti noodles
They clump together, turn sauces weird colors, and needless to say are hard to eat.
Eggs
There are no cage free or brown eggs at my Aldi
Dairy products/almond milk
Seem to be the same price as other stores
Avocados
Went from unripe to too ripe
All I can say is that my Aldi trip made me so happy that I made these wraps all week. Recipe to come soon.
